ASIC / MSIC Security Identification Card Register or Holder Record
Issuing-body records about Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) holders and applicants: the Register of ASICs (Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 reg 6.23) and Register of MSICs (Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations 2003 reg 6.08T), which hold the holder's name, residential address, card colour/type, the unique number of the card, issue, expiry and cancellation dates and operational need, plus AusCheck background check outcomes and cancellation notices. The card number format is not public (issuer-specific, Secretary-approved), so the card number is matched only by its label.

- Confidence justification
- Medium: the card names and register terms are specific, but there is no public card-number format or checksum, and ASIC is ambiguous with the securities regulator. Enforcement depends on populated register fields next to an unambiguous card term. 85/75 are heuristic evidence tiers, not measured accuracy; test values are synthetic.

Known false positives
- ASIC is also the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. Mitigation: Bare ASIC is not a primary; only card phrases (Register of ASICs, red/grey/white ASIC, ASIC holder/card/issuing body) are, and the regulator's full name excludes enforce tiers.
- Home Affairs, AusCheck and legislation pages list the register fields; job ads and RTO courses mention ASIC/MSIC requirements. Mitigation: Guidance stays at 65 discovery; enforce tiers need populated fields and exclude auscheck.gov.au / homeaffairs.gov.au / legislation.gov.au, "must hold a valid ASIC/MSIC", "apply now" and course wording.
- Blank application forms. Mitigation: Blank lines, bracket placeholders and n/a/tbc values are rejected; template wording is excluded by the shared template-exclusion dictionary.
- Card numbers are issuer-specific with no public format. Mitigation: Matched only by label (ASIC / MSIC / card number); no standalone card-number regex is shipped.
